We’ve widely praised the ASUS PA278QV for its competent all-round performance with a focus on accurate sRGB colour output. For those who like their screens a bit larger but with a similar feature set, that’s where the ASUS PA328QV comes in. Familiar smart-looking ProArt styling is adopted, with a brushed matte black look. The top and dual stage use the popular dual-stage design, with slim panel border flush with the rest of the screen plus a slim hard plastic outer part. The OSD (On Screen Display) is controlled by buttons that face forwards at the right side of the bottom bezels.
A 31.5″ 2560 x 1440 (WQHD or 1440p) IPS-type panel is employed, with 75Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync support (48 – 75Hz VRR range). Other features of note include a matte anti-glare screen surface, 10-bit colour support, a 1000:1 static contrast ratio and 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. A Calman Verified factory calibration with an average DeltaE
A 5ms grey to grey response time is specified, whilst a ‘Rapid Rendering’ strobe backlight setting is included for use at a static 75Hz refresh rate. The stand is fully adjustable, including 130mm (5.12 inches) height adjustment and pivot into portrait. The screen attaches to its stand with a quick-release mechanism and can be removed to reveal 100 x 100mm VESA holes for alternative mounting. The ports mainly face downwards and include; AC power (internal power converter with ‘zero watt’ switch), 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, DP 1.4 and 2 USB 3.0 ports (plus upstream). 2 further USB 3.2 Gen1 ports are located at the left side of the screen, as viewed from the front. 2 x 2W speakers are included for basic sound output, whilst PbP/PiP support is included.
Further details can be found on the manufacturer’s website. Details on price and availability still forthcoming.
